Tour Description

The wines from the nearby hills of Montello and Colli Asolani area have been preferred since the time of the Republic of Venice.
Dante Alighieri ... Giorgione ... mentioned in the Divine Comedy, and depicted in the frescoes of typical Venetian villas and other places, the vineyards of Montello and Colli dell’Asolo, they all played a key role in the 15th century.
The big hill of Montello, once completely covered by oak woods, was a protected natural park used to obtain timber for both the construction of the Venetian fleet and wine barrels. The cultivation of the great vineyards of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Carmenere, Bianchetta, Manzoni White, Pinot, Chardonnay and Prosecco has been possible thanks to the peculiar composition of the clay soil with gravel underlay, and a lucky climate exposure.
The Asolo Superiore DOCG Prosecco and Montello Superiore DOCG represent the highest quality of such productions. Along with the area of the Road of the Prosecco and Conegliano-Valdobbiadene wines, Prosecco, a white wine with a protected and guaranteed designation of origin (DOC and DOCG), is the most renowned and worldwide famous wine. Along the route running from Conegliano to Valdobbiadene, the home of the world renowned Prosecco, a white wine with a protected and guaranteed designation of origin (DOC).
Not forgetting the local dishes; on the tables we will find risotto with bruscandoli, peverata sauce, Treviso radicchio, Bassano-style asparagus, pasta and beans, sopa coada, spit roasts and for dessert Tiramisu’, prepared with expertise, skill and tradition. Asolo, with its Fortress, will be one of our destinations. But to make the most of our cars horsepower, to experience a true adrenaline rush we should go up to Mount Grappa and Cima Grappa (1770 m a.s.l.), where we will visit the Military Memorial Monument. The silence and atmosphere keeps alive the memory of the victims. The landscape is filled with old memories of the First World War; trenches, paths, tunnels, small blockhouses used for defense. The Piave river, sacred to the homeland, is clearly visible and its sinuous shape leads our gaze to the Venetian lagoon. The descent from this mountain will take us to Possagno, birthplace, temple and museum of the famous sculptor and painter Antonio Canova, the artist who revived the ancient Greek sculptures and lived between the 18th and 19th century.
One day will be exclusively devoted to Prosecco, along the Conegliano-Valdobbiadene DOCG road and the surrounding hills with small excursions in the Belluno area; traditions and places of the northern Treviso province that cannot be just described ... they are to be discovered !!!
The CA’ AMATA Golf Club in Castelfranco, (a walled town with a medieval castle built in the 19th century) is a few kilometres away. A Golf club created within the Villa Cà Amata park extends over 75 hectares of land. It offers the possibility of spectacular shots over long distances. Wide fairways, greens with different degrees of technical difficulty with considerable differences in height. Very long Par 4s alternate with shorter holes making the path a challenging course for even the most experienced golfers. Thanks to the mild climate and fast-draining soil, it is possible to play here all year round. Golf & Car tour… an experience not to be missed!
